Adolescent Depression Study
What is this study about?
The purpose of this study is to examine brain activity using functional
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) in adolescents who currently have
depression.
What will I do?
Qualified participants will complete interviews, cognitive testing,
questionnaires, and a non-invasive fMRI brain scan. This takes between 5-6
hours to complete, and some participants will be asked to repeat these
procedures 8-12 weeks later.
Who can participate?

Adolescents between the ages of 12-18 who currently have depression.

Participants must have recently started or will be starting a medication
trial to treat symptoms of depression.
Will there be compensation?
Participants will be compensated $20/hour for their time and receive a
complimentary CD with images of their brain upon request.
