Eligibility Requirements:
Schizophrenia Biomarkers Family Project
18-60
Male and female
You have been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder or with Schizophrenia o r are
the brother or sister of a person with Bipolar disorder or with Schizophrenia
or are a Healthy Control subject with none of these disorders in yourself
OR a brother or sister
Exclusion Criteria:
Head injury with unconsciousness lasting more than 1HR
Pregnancy
ECT in the last 6 months
Mental retardation
Dementia

The Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital is starting a study of people with schizophrenia and their first-degree relatives. Qualifying participants will be asked to come in on 2 separate days to participate in a brain imaging (MRI + EEG) research project. Participants will be compensated $20 an hour. The study is open to adults aged 18-60 who have schizophrenia and to their relatives (parents, brothers, and/or sisters).
