Adults with PTSD
Purpose:
The purpose of this study is to examine brain function during fMRI in patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Eligibility Requirements:
Male and females over 18 years of age, who think they might have post-traumatic stress order, or have previously been diagnosed with PTSD. Participants must have no current substance dependence, or traumatic brain injuries. Additionally, pregnant women cannot participate in this study.
Visit Frequency:
Subjects are seen twice. The first visit is a screening, including psychiatric and neuropsychological examinations, which lasts from 2-4 hours. The second visit is a scanning session, and lasts about 2 hours.
