Current Studies / Adults who use marijuana

Smoked Marijuana Study

Purpose:
The purpose of this study is to examine with the aid of fMRI the effects of smoked marijuana on brain functions involved in driving.

Eligible:
Normal, male and female subjects over 18 years of age, who do not use other street drugs.

Visit Frequency:
Subjects are seen twice. The first visit is a screening visit and takes 1 hour for physical, psychiatric and neuropsychological examination. The 2 study visits consists of approximately 3 hours of scanning time and 2 hours of other testing.

Labwork:
A urine sample is collected upon the subject's arrival.

Compensation:
Participants receive $20/hr, and $10 for the one-hour screening.
