Who Am I?
Alexis graduated in May 2007 with a B.S. in
Neuroscience and Psychology from King’s College. While at King’s she focused
her senior seminar research project on investigating the effects of the
Ketogenic diet on visuospatial learning and memory in adolescent rats. She
also aided in researching the effects of pharmaceuticals, specifically
sertraline, on the behavior of aquatic organisms. Alexis joined the Olin
Neuropsychiatry team in January 2008 as a research assistant in the
Psychosis / Biomarkers research project and also in the Schizophrenia and
Bipolar Multi-site project. She is interested in the genetic and
neuropsychological components of these disorders. In the future, Alexis
hopes to eventually obtain her Ph.D. in the field of Neuroscience.
