Who Am I?

Andrea graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry in May 2007. She spent two years following her graduation as a research assistant at the Regulation of Emotion and Anxiety Disorders Lab at Yale University. She has a very strong interest in the psychopathology of anxiety disorders (especially GAD and SAD) and depression. At the ONRC, she hopes to gain experience working with adolescents and to further her contributions to the field of research. She plans on returning to school to obtain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in order to pursue a career in which she can influence and advocate for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety disorders and depression through psychological research and clinical treatment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Andrea’s primary responsibility is acting as study coordinator for the Measuring Suicidality in Adolescent Major Depressive Disorder Using fMRI research study. Her main responsibilities include the recruitment and scheduling of participants, administration of clinical interviews and neuropsychological assessments, and data collection and management.
