Who Am I?
Catherine, a native of Connecticut, graduated in May of
2008 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Spanish from Emory University in
Atlanta, GA. During her college career, Catherine developed an interest in
research after being selected to participate in a nanotechnologies and
material science project launched by Emory’s Department of Chemistry. Her
interests in research later motivated her to volunteer at the Atkinson
medical clinic in San Felipe, Guatemala where she served as a clinical
research assistant. After graduation, Catherine returned to Connecticut and
joined the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center in August 2008 as a Research
Assistant for the B-SNIP project. At the ONRC, Catherine hopes to advance
her understanding of neuropsychiatric disorders and ultimately she plans to
obtain her M.D.
