Who Am I?
Devra earned a B.A.
in Psychology from the University of Connecticut in May 2009. At UConn,
Devra worked for two years as a research assistant in the behavioral
neuroscience lab under the direction of Dr. John Salamone. Her senior honors
thesis examined the effects of the neurotransmitter adenosine A1 on the
effort-related actions of dopamine D2 in rats. Devra also spent a summer
volunteering in the Clinical Neuroscience and Development Lab at the Olin
Neuropsychiatry Research Center before joining the lab as a full-time
research assistant in May 2009. Devra ultimately plans on returning to
graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Devra’s primary
responsibility is acting as a research assistant for the Adolescent
Maturation of Brain Network Integration for Executive Control Abilities fMRI
research study. Her main responsibilities include neuropsychological
assessment, secondary MRI operation, participant recruitment, data
collection and management, and administration of diagnostic interviews for
an adolescent and young adult population.
