Who Am I?
Originally from New Jersey, Dana earned her BS in
Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut in 2007. Her Senior
Thesis, exploring the effect of Hypoxic-ischemic injury on rapid auditory
processing in the animal model, was completed in the Behavioral Neuroscience
lab of UConn under the direction of Dr. Roslyn Holly Fitch. At the ONRC, she
hopes to develop a greater knowledge of clinical assessment and further her
contributions to the field of research. She plans to ultimately obtain her
PhD. in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on Neuropsychology.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Dana is responsible for Mood Disorder research at the Center, and is the
study coordinator for the Hippocampal Structure and Function in Adults with
Depression study, and the study, Measuring Suicidality in Adolescent Major
Depressive Disorder Using fMRI. Her responsibilities include recruitment of
volunteers, administration of clinical interviews and neuropsychological
assessments, data management, and analysis. She is also involved in data
collection and analysis of smaller ongoing projects.
