Who Am I?
Jason-Flor graduated from Stony Brook University in 2007
with a BS in Psychology and minor in Biology. Under the guidance of Dr.
Turhan Canli, he completed an honors thesis that focused on impulsivity
endophenoytpes. In 2009, he completed his MS in Basic Health Sciences at
Stony Brook, with a concentration in Physiology & Biophysics. Jason-Flor
has been a fellow for the NIH MARC program, Battelle Foundation, Duke
University, and the Department of Energy. His interest in neuroscience led
him to his current position in the COBBRA laboratory at the Olin
Neuropsychiatry Research Center.
Roles and Responsibilities
Jason-Flor works in the Cognition, Brain Imaging,
Behavior Research, and Allelic Variations (COBBRA) Lab under the direction
of Dr. Pearlson. He works on the BARCS (Brain and Alcohol Research on
College Students) study. He recruits college students; conducts assessments;
and analyzes data. He is currently being trained to operate the MRI machine
and analyze fMRI data.
