Who Am I?
Sarah Galvin
received her B.A. in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University in
May 2006. During this time she assisted with research in Biofeeback at the
university and worked as a vocational and residential counselor at the
Mental Health Association of Connecticut. She also received her M.A. in
Psychology from Central Connecticut State University in May 2009. During
this time she worked as a graduate assistant for the Department of
Psychology. Her Master’s Thesis examined the possible contribution of a
person’s degree of sense of coherence and their level of familiarity with
mental illness on their likelihood to discriminate against an individual
with mental illness. She has also been taking courses to work toward
obtaining an American Sign Language interpreting license. Sarah joined the
Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center in July of 2009 as a research assistant
working on the Bipolar Psychosis study within Dr. Glahn’s lab. Sarah
ultimately plans to obtain her Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology.
